The exhibition in the Kommunale Galerie Berlin is a retrospective of the Photoplatz gallery in the legendary Hotel Bogota, ten years after it closed its doors.
From 2006 to 2013, a total of 73 shows took place in Photoplatz, including artists such as Antoine D’Agata, Gerhard Kassner, Ursula Kelm, Robert Lebeck, Amélie Losier and Ina Schröder. Over the years, Joachim Rissmann, curator of the exhibition and former manager of the hotel, has put together a collection of the works on display at the time. In addition to these photographs, invitation cards and pictures taken in the hotel itself will be on view, offering a glimpse into the ‘Photoplatz in Hotel Bogota’ era.
